The windows on the first floor have all been replaced. The couple of weak floor areas in the Pine Shores Art Gallery have been reinforced. The original clapboard siding on the lower half of the building has been replaced on the front of the building and the other 3 sides have been sanded, bad boards replaced.
Still to be done includes: replacement of all upstairs windows with new inside and outside trim pieces. The cedar shake shingles on the upper exterior of the building will be replaced with new vinyl shingles and then the building exterior gets painted, except for the upper portion, which will be dark red shingled siding (so won’t need to be painted).
October 17th update:
The building is still not open, although the windows have all been replaced and the lower half of the building has new cedar clapboard siding with a fresh yellow coat of paint and freshly painted white trim.
The building is pretty close to being completed, with only the upper outside of the building waiting for new imitation cedar shake dark red vinyl shingle siding to be installed along with the final trim on the outside off the upper windows.
We are hoping to open up the gallery again in early November. Please watch your email messages for any updates on the opening in the next couple of weeks.
We can't wait to get back into the Stafford Gallery for classes and new shows!
